Spier is one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa, dating back to 1692. Rooted in this heritage, Spier has a vibrant and conscious energy, renowned for its responsible tourism approach. Award-winning wine can be paired with fabulous food, grown either on the farm or by nearby farmers. The winery is one of the most awarded in the country and the four-star Spier Hotel and meeting facilities offer inspiring Winelands getaways in the tranquillity of nature.

Spier is not just a great destination; the passion for quality and sustainability touches everything Spier does. In addition to the healthy vineyards, Spier has extensive tracts of land that are farmed using biodynamic principles. Animals, including cattle, sheep and chickens, are raised on pastures, and contribute to the fertility of the soil. Spier has an extensive biodynamic vegetable garden with a broad variety of crops. The ethically produced meat and vegetables are used in our farm-to-table eating experiences Eight and Eight to Go in the preparation of wholesome, delicious dishes and picnics.
