Bitou River Lodge is a four-star farmhouse-style guest house on the banks of the Bitou River in Plettenberg Bay. Start your day with a traditional country breakfast and explore the delightful surroundings with the large variety of activities to choose from; explore the wetlands by canoe while keeping an eye out for the uncountable amount of bird species; take a stroll along the eco trail and get familiar with indigenous plants, relax in a hammock at the pool or swim at one of Plettenberg Bay’s nearby beaches. If adrenaline is your cup of tea, you could also try abseiling, skydiving or visit the supertube at Wild Waters.
Besides exquisite attention to detail and wonderful service, Bitou River Lodge is committed to greening the environment with two ongoing projects focused on biodiversity protection, by clearing the aliens and planting indigenous trees (with more than 400 indigenous trees planted to this day). These projects, alongiside a number of eco choices, help offset the carbon footprint of visitors.
