The Heath, found just 6km outside of Plettenberg Bay, is one of the Garden Route’s favourite and most loved venues, offering an incredible experience for everyone. This bohemian stop is a journey through locally inspired food, nature and art, finished up by the Tin Shack, a tasting room for home-grown craft beer and local wine. Expect shopping that is out of the ordinary, elegant and artistically designed wood work in the furniture and home decor showroom Amoeba @ Ilovani, an Eagle encounter at Radical Raptors that will leave you grinning from ear to ear; the forever famous Cheeseman and his mountain of cheeses, and grounds that will, without a doubt, wow and excite the little ones. Walk around The Potting Shed, a nursery space that homes indigenous plants, garden goodies and handmade creations.
If resting is on the agenda, sit at The Heath Café & Deli for a delicious cup of coffee and a tasty, organic and free-range meal. The Deli is open for breakfast, lunch and tea, and offers a wide selection of jams, preserves and peri peri sauces.
